20+ Years of Custom Flooring.

Artisan Custom Hardwoods started more than 20 years ago with Nate, a Colorado native who grew up in Lakewood and built the company’s reputation one floor at a time, right here on the Front Range.

The next chapter began at a firehouse. A few years ago, Peter joined the same local volunteer fire department Nate served on, after moving to Golden from Denver with his wife. Off the truck, Peter’s career had taken him from roofing crews early on to the corporate world. He spent years scaling local, national, and international tech and finance companies, building the sales, partnership, marketing, and customer-service playbooks that let them grow without losing the plot.

The two got to talking, and a partnership took shape. Together, Peter and Nate set out to take Artisan into its next chapter: a flooring trade partner built to scale, ready to support homeowners and builders across Colorado on projects and partnerships of any size. Peter runs the day-to-day operations, sales, marketing, and partnerships. Nate makes sure the craftsmanship, communication, and the reliability Artisan is known for shows up in the work of our crews and employees, every day, without compromise.

We’re still part of the community we serve. Nate and Peter still volunteer as firefighters on the same department where they met, Nate now a Captain, Peter a Lieutenant.
